As the landscape of college basketball continues to change, it is not only important that Carolina Men's Basketball players have the best opportunities to capitalize on their Name, Image and Likeness rights, it is also important that the opportunities are consistently aligned with the values of the program and The Carolina Family. With those two things in mind, Secondary Break Club was created.
Secondary Break Club will support Carolina Men's Basketball and the Tar Heel student-athlete experience through NIL opportunities. Building upon the foundation created by Coach Smith and Coach Guthridge when Coach Davis played for them, we are committed to ensuring that Tar Heel student-athletes live a life of service to others. Each student-athlete has the opportunity to leave a legacy of influence that will outlast their time on the court and be part of something bigger than themselves. To accomplish this, Secondary Break Club will focus on three key components: community engagement, personal development and team building.
Service is at the core of what it means to be a Carolina Men's Basketball player. Secondary Break Club creates opportunities for community service. It also aims to help student-athletes understand and use their platform to benefit others.
From financial empowerment to leadership and public speaking, Secondary Break Club is committed in using NIL to create a comprehensive curriculum that develops student-athletes' gifts and talents off the court as well.
A close team is a strong team, and NIL opportunities that bring student-athletes together off the court create moments for building a closer bond and understanding each other better. Secondary Break Club aims to create NIL opportunities that empower and connect the entire roster.
